I don't know if I am missing something, or if this is a bug.  It looks like you can't search for contacts using a street address, either in the web interface or using the API function civicrm_contact_get().

When I go into the Advanced Search page on the demo site and put in a known-good street address and click search, I get "No matches found".  So for example in the demo when I search for:

297S Cadell Rd SW

I get:

No matches found for:
Street = '297S Cadell Rd SW' ...AND...
Country = 'United States'

Suggestions:
check your spelling
try a different spelling or use fewer letters
if you are searching within a Group or for Tagged contacts, try 'any group' or 'any tag'
add a New Individual, Organization or Household
make sure you have enough privileges in the access control system

This street address was entered via copy and paste from the contact Mrs. Andrew Z Adams Sr., contact number 57.  I have tried this with a number of contact addresses, and also tried variations by entering the correct city and state that goes with the address, with the same result.

Isn't this supposed to work?
