When saving contact in backend fields are cumpulsory when they are optional
January 05, 2011, 07:37:50 am
When trying to save a contact in the backend I get an error message saying "Please correct the following errors in the form fields below: " on custom fields that are not compulsory in the membership form.

Is there a setting I need to change?

If your original custom field is set to compulsory then it will be configured as compulsory in the contact backend screen even if is has been changed to optional in the profile that is used in the form.

So, set your custom fields to optional and then change them to compulsory in the profile for the application form.
