Provide User Opt Out as term in Advanced Search
December 11, 2007, 01:27:38 pm
Just a matter of time, now that CiviMail has become so much easier to use, [THANK YOU!].

Could a feature be added to provide the ability to search on the 'User Opt Out' attribute, which is set by the CiviMail opt out action?

Hey,

Seems like a good idea - can you please add a "New Feature" issue in our issue tracker? (http://issues.civicrm.org) Also, if you have such abilities, please consider putting some resources into implenting this feature and/or providing us with the patch.

Thx,
m

I was testing the CiviCRM Constant Contact drupal module and wanted to be able to do this same search.   It still seems relevant.

http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-6250 implies this has since been implemented - is that correct?

No, I don't think so. IIUC that issue relates to the fields do_not_email, do_not_phone etc in civicrm_contact, but the original question was about the is_opt_out field, which is the one set by a user opt-out through CiviMail. There still doesn't seem to be the facility to search by that field in Advanced Search, however it can be done through Search Builder.
