Joomla Front End Search Results/Profile Question
January 05, 2011, 05:55:30 pm
We have 3 different Search Results/Profiles on our Joomla Front End and I noticed today that if I hoover the mouse pointer over the Icon associated with that contact type, it display's almost all information for that record.

Is there a way to turn that off? Can it be turned off by unique search results/profile or would it be a global setting?

Screen Shot attached.

Is there a way to "Edit" what is displayed in the PopUp?

Yes. For this you need to edit Summary Overlay profile.
Go to Administrator->CiviCRm Profile & disable the fields in Summary Overlay Profile that you don't want to dispaly in popup

Summary Overlay is Reserved Profile We can not disable it.

Is there a way to change the back ground color of that popup Box?

I have opted to display an Image for the selected record when the mouse pointer hoovers over the icon and that black back ground is just to dark.

It's controlled by background-color or the .crm-tooltip class (in civicrm.css). Note that changing that color may change other user interface widget colors - I think the pop-up menus and other things use that class.

Secondly - what version of CiviCRM r u using? Also are you logged in as a front-end user when you get all those data fields displayed. I tried a front-end profile using CiviCRM 3.3.2 - and the default behavior was not to show ANY data values in the pop-up. I was not logged in. The only way I got any data fields to show up was to modify the Visibility Setting for fields in the Summary Overlay profile. If I set them to Public or Public+Listings, then the data fields / values do show up.

Hi Dave,

Thanks for that info.

We are on 3.3.2 and I was not logged in. I added to the Summary Overlay Profile custom fields and made the Public. Works very nicely. No one has to log in. This is information that this client want's available to anyone visiting the site.

Thanks again for all your help!
