We've got a resource that can work on this.

First, I should put down what I envision to see if there are desires by others that could be included.  (I guess this is sort of a US only thing; though, maybe other countries have some sort of reporting requirements that can be included.)

We'd like the ability to generate a customizable pdf letter/email that gives the details of each contribution made over a selectable period of time (usually last year).   The criteria should also include the ability to only include contribution types that are deductible.

A typical letter would have the person's name and address at the top (so it can be folded and stuck in windowed envelop) say something along the lines of  Dear so and so,  Thanks for you contributions totaling $X.  We bla bla bla and are a 501c or whatever for tax purposes.  Here are the details of your contributions:  then list each one with the date, type, amount.



It seems to me the requirement to list the details makes this harder to do.  If we just wanted to give the total for the year, we could do it now with a template and a hook for the tokens to give the total.   I'm not sure what ways we have for doing sort of a sub-report for each contact selected and then walking through each contribution each contact made, adding it to the letter and then starting a new letter for the next contact.
