Goes to "Map Locations" when I use civicrm/profile/edit?reset=1&gid=N
December 11, 2007, 10:23:06 pm
I'm caught in mapping hell. I did something. I think I clicked a link on a page that had to do with groups (or not, can't remember) that said "show where...", I thought it was for building a search as in "show such and such where foo = bah". Well, I didn't have mapping enabled on my site and apparently that link has to do with mapping. So I enabled mapping for the profile but ever since I cannot access any profiles using civicrm/profile/edit?reset=1&gid=N (where N is my profile ID). Instead, if mapping is enabled for a profile a page titled "Map Locations" tries to load. The same thing happens when I use civicrm/profile/create?reset=1&gid=N. The URL does not change in the address bar but Map Locations loads. No sign of my profile anywhere. When I try to use the create or edit profile URLs for any of my profiles with mapping not enabled for the profile, I get "This profile does not have the map feature turned on" and it redirects me to Global Settings or Find Contacts or something. This has me stuck. Please help!

Oh and I thought if I tried to enable mapping on my site that might help, but my CiviCRM installation is at <site root>/sites/all/modules/civicrm/ and that's where I told Google to find it but after obtaining a key from Google the Map Locations page that tries to open has a warning that the key is for another website. The map Locations page loads blank except for the title and says "Done but with errors on page". I disabled any mapping on my site but still have these problems.

Can you delete your session (or all sessions) from the drupal session table and try again. I suspect there is some bad information being cached in the session

Would be great if you could reproduce this issue on the demo server and give us the steps we need to do to reproduce it.

Donald,

That did the trick. Thanks. I could try to reproduce it, but honestly I can't remember where the link I clicked is that seems to have caused the issue. I vaguely remember it said "show where..." but I can't find what page I saw it on. Ring a bell to you?
