"Register New Participant" - can we use profiles?
January 07, 2011, 08:43:59 am
I'm getting acquainted with the newest version of Civi, which we're using for the first time with Paypal Website Payments Pro.  Using WPP means we no longer have the option of using the normal user registration process for registering new conference attendees who prepaid by check - even if we choose the $0.00 item we set up in our price set, the form insists on having all the credit card info.  That's a no-go, obviously.

SO... We admins will be manually entering the mailed-in registrations via the "Register Event Participant" under the "events" tab.  However, IF we opt not to create a new contact first, and instead just choose the "new individual" drop-down, that form doesn't appear to allow us to enter all the info we would have with our regular registration form, which includes a custom profile that has individual, organizational and custom data fields.  We won't get the person's mailing address, for example.

Am I missing something?

Thanks,

Tracey

Hi;

it uses a profile (new individual if my memory serves me right). You can add the address fields in this profile to customize it according to your needs.
