CiviPetition activity profile not visible when viewing signatories

Hi there,

On demo, I created a new petition and created an activity profile that had custom activity data.  This gets recorded OK and is visible is you export signatories, but it doesn't display if you hit view or edit petition.  Is that the expected behaviour?  I am presuming not.

Hi,

You mean when you view the "signature" activities ?

(that's normal you don't see them on view or edit petition

What I mean is that it seems that you can collect information via a contact and activity profile but that the only way you can see this information is if you do an export.  If you just look at the activity no profile data is visible.  That seems strange to me.  Why would you not want to show this to people.

Could you send a link from demo?

Whatever is collected on the profile is saved where ever it's supposed to. You can see these info in the contact summary or the activity.

Could you create a petition on demo with fields that are "collected but not displayed anywhere"?

Same same as the event registration, the profile allows the collection of data, and stores it at the right place (contact or participant) and you can see it from there.

I signed the petition but can't see custom data in the activity: http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/contact/view/activity?atype=31&action=view&reset=1&id=565&cid=103&context=activity

But I can see it when I do an export (Find activities > Export)

ps. the custom data field you are looking for is 'What is your favourite database'

Ah, seems that it's an issue no matter the activity: activity view doesn't display the custom field.

In your case, the field you created (on activity) should be displayed all the time you display an activity, but it isn't the case.

@civi core: should we fill an issue ?
