Hello,

First of all i hope i use the good translation, cause i'm using CiviCRM in dutch.

When i add a membership and i also want to register an payment/contribution to that memeberships it is not possible to add the source of that payment. I use this a lot for searching later on.

First i have to register memebrship and payment and later in contributions i have to add the source.

Is it possible to make this possible from memebership?

When adding a membership with payment information, you can enter a "Source" for the membership on the form. However the contribution "Source" field is populated automatically by the code with

<membership type>: Offline membership signup (by <user who added it>)

You will probably need to use a postProcess "hook" to modify this behavior.

OK,

I have totally no experience with hooks.

Its just that this would be nice if this is standard in Civicrm. Because you can add the source when adding only a contribution, but not when you add a contribution through the membership signup form.

So this might be a suggestion for future releases, but i don't know where to post this.

You might want to attend a developer training.... Got one next month in brussels.
