Blank pages after switching from CGI to Apache module [RESOLVED]
January 13, 2011, 01:57:33 pm
My CiviCRM installation works perfectly when using PHP5 in CGI (FastCGI) mode. However I want to change to Apache module, all I get is a blank page. There are no error message in the apache logs. Other parts of the Joomla site work OK.

Could this be due to file permissions? CiviCRM was installed and run by the owner under CGI but when run as Apache module, then apache is the owner. Are there any files or directories that CiviCRM uses that need 777 or 666 permissions?

PHP: 5.2.9
MYSQL 5.0.83
Joomla: 1.5.22
Apache: 2.2.11
Hosting: Shared linux.

take a look at the htaccess file in your web root. just a guess, but i suspect there may be some directives present that are specific to fastcgi, and are breaking things.
