Hello,

First of all thank you very much for the civi project and everyone who has contributed to the forums and wiki, the docs have been extremely helpful as well as the solutions civi provides.

What I want to do is create a mailing to every contact that lives in a certain area. This location would of course come from their profile. For example, send an email to everyone that lives in Texas, or everyone in the city of Quahog. Is this possible?

I have tried searching but no luck yet.

Please advise, thanks!

So CiviMail works on basis of Groups or Smart Groups being set up - you could potentially therefore create Smart Group for all contacts in city of Washington - or even use the Proximity Search (under Custom Searches) and find everyone within 20km of the post office in Calcutta.

FYI for anyone with the same issues, You can goto Search >Advanced Search which you can then search on most any profile field and etc
