Activate / deactivate logging
January 14, 2011, 01:07:53 pm
Hello all,

After having upgraded one of my sites using CiviCRM from 3.2.5 to 3.3.2, I keep having a problem that basically makes it impossible to modify anything in my database, and even less add new content. I've reported the problem already here.

It seems that this is linked to the logging functionality. I tried to find a way to deactivate this. In my CiviCRM the radio buttons (under "Miscellaneous") for activating / deactivating logging are just grayed out.

Is there anyone who has an idea how I can get (temporarily) rid of the logging functionality to check whether this is the cause of my problem?

Simon

i suspect triggers were already set in your DB. Can you do a show and drop of the triggers. check:

http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/show-triggers.html
http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/drop-trigger.html

The webmaster has activated triggers for that particular database, but unluckily I don't have Super privileges...
