Directory profile doesn't work
January 15, 2011, 02:08:27 am
I have installed CiviCRM on Drupal, and it seems to be functional. After adding two users via the Drupal user account form, I tried to set up a membership directory as set out on:
en.flossmanuals.net/CiviCRM/CapturingExposing
section: Sharing Information
I go through setting up the Profile exactly as indicated in the section, and link to the page in Drupal.  However, on going to that page, I don't get a Search form as at the bottom of the section - I get an input form with Save/Cancel buttons instead of a Search button.

Any idea what the problem might be?

Hmm.  I've added Bill Boggs and Dan Dare, and set up Profile 11, membership_dir.  But since I can't access Drupal admin, how do I set up a link to the putative search form?

Why does the admin taskbar change on the demo site?  If you log in as 'demo', the "CiviCRM" link on the sidebar takes you to a dashboard which has a taskbar with Home, Search, Contacts and Contributions, but if you click on the CiviCRM link in that page's sidebar (right at the bottom), you get the same dashboard, but with a taskbar with a lot more options in it.

Not sure what you are seeking on drupal admin, but if you click on more on the list of profiles, you got the link you want (I think).

Well, I get a preview of the form, sure.  But:
(1) If I do More -> Use Profile-Create Mode, I get a form with exactly the problem I originally posted, namely, Save/Cancel buttons, and no Search button.  So there does seem to be a problem here.
(2) The Drupal point was how do I link to this form from the front-end?  I have a link (civicrm/profile/create?gid=11&reset=1), but where do I put it so that users can see the form and not the Profile creation stuff?
