403 Error after "Match Fields"
January 15, 2011, 06:26:40 am
Hi there,

I have a freshly installed CiviCRM on a freshly installed Drupal 6. It seems to work in general, at least no errors anywhere obviously. I wanted to start importing the contacts from CSV, and as I do so I come until the point where to match the fields. Everything fine so far, but as soon as I click "Continue" I get an "Error 403 - access not allowed"  message from my webhost immediately. No loading time whatsoever. I also tried a very basic test.csv* which I found in another thread, but same problem occurs.
It does not seem that there are csv problems, more a host-settings issue, maybe some .htaccess things? I used the installation guides for Drupal and CiciCRM and the webspace should fulfill all the requirements.
Any ideas?

Thanks for your time,
Philipp

edit:
I recognized that the URL where I get the error from is http://[mydomain]/civicrm/civicrm/import/contact - that's because I installed drupal in the folder /civicrm. can this cause problems, because it somehow doubled?!

I made a complete reinstall, deleting all files and databases (also drupal). This time with CiviCRM 3.3.3. I also rechecked the requirements and File permissions.
And: same error comes up.

Am I really the only one having encoured this problem?

As almost expected after all the begging for replies and no one seemed to have the same error, it appeared to be a problem with the hosting. My hosting provider said that a filter in Apaches mod_security was the cause, now it works.

By the way, in the meantime I tried the same thing with a Joomla based CiviCRM installation where it worked perfectly fine without the adjustments of my provider.

Maybe this helps some people in the future

:)
