Theme/color change when using SSL secured pages for events & contributions
January 16, 2011, 07:58:35 pm
Why is it that when the site switches to secured pages for event registrations or contributions, the color scheme/theme changes? I'm not sure when exactly it started happening, but I know it didn't always do this, and I'm wondering if anyone can help me identify what the issue is and how to resolve it.

I've attached two screen shots: first is the correct color scheme on the unsecured page describing the event. The second is the secure page to buy tickets (register for the event) with the weird washed out color scheme, which returns to normal as soon as one returns to a non-secured page. I am baffled. Please help! Thanks!

Looks like the images in your theme header aren't loading on the https page(s). You could "view source" and try pasting the URL to on of the header images into your browser location bar and see if you get an error etc.

It's not just that the logo image didn't load, but the entire color scheme shifts in SSL mode. I can't figure out why, since it didn't always do that. Perhaps a different module is interfering for some unknown reason. It's too bad I'm the only person who seems to be experiencing this; I was hoping there would be an easy fix--drat!!

Definitely "view source" is your friend here - comparing and testing the URLs for the css and image files included in the page in SSL and non-SSL mode.
