Errors while upgrading from 1.7 to 1.9
December 16, 2007, 05:55:37 am
I have a clean Drupal 5.5 and Civicrm 1.9 (latest) on a live (test) site. I used the auto installer for civicrm. Everything worked ok.

I also have a live site Drupal 4.7 and Civicrm 1.7.

I dumped the Drupal 5.5 DB and installed the 4.7 DB. I also installed modules for Drupal 5. Ran Update.php and Drupal works fine.

I then dumped Civicrm 1.9 DB and installed the civicrm 1.7 DB. I then ran upgrade script 1.7 to 1.8 and 1.8 to  1.9

I cleaned up drupal cache and sessions and the template_c directory.

Now, whe I try to access my site I get a wite screen with one line
Error: Could not create directory: /home/stanisli.

Any help will be highly appreciated

check:

http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,492.msg1946.html#msg1946

alternatively you can temporarily create /home/stanisli, give the web server permission, fix the directory paths and then remove the directory
