Are there any significant API or DB Schema changes planned for the 3.3 -> 3.4 upgrade? I ask with regard to the question of whether or not to wait for 3.4 to upgrade some custom code for a Drupal-based site.

API: yes/no

we will keep the v2, but strongly encourage users to start using the v3

there are DB changes:

http://svn.civicrm.org/civicrm/trunk/CRM/Upgrade/Incremental/sql/3.4.alpha1.mysql.tpl

and more to come when we merge some other svn branches etc
