I have seen a problem with search results twice with the current installation I'm working with.

First, when I search for contacts that have made a complete contribution on a specific date, I get 146 results.  However, when I try to print PDF letters for all the returned records, the resulting PDF only has 133 contacts.  I noticed that there are only 45 records displayed on the first page, even though it says "Contact 1 - 50 of 146", there 44 on the second, and 45 on the last.

Second, when doing a search to find all complete contributions between two dates, I get 362 records, but when exported, I see that there are 377 records in the CSV file.

When I do a SQL query directly on the database, it gives me 339 records.

I've looked at all the data several times trying to see a reason or pattern, but no avail.  perplexing.

Sorry, not sure to understand. Is this using the api or regular searches ?

Hi,

A customer has reported the same problem on 3.2.5 although we have not investigated it. When they removed a nested group from the search criteria (one that contains groups and is contained by another group) the search appeared to become accurate

The difference between my problem and the above problem is that I'm not using groups. 

Do you think if I upgrade from 3.2.4 it would resolve the issue?

I applied the patch but unfortunately it made no difference at all.  My search results for contributions show 362 records, but exported file shows 378, meanwhile the pagination is still showing 45 contacts per page when it showing be showing 50, when I search for contacts that made contributions on a specific date.
