Populating a custom field select with a "smart group"
December 16, 2007, 05:25:34 pm
Hello, How can I populate a custom field of type "select" with a list built with a "smart group" ? I've seen some previous msgs about this, but as i'm new to Civicrm, I don't see in which direction I can begin my hack.

The specific need is to is have a list of organizations defined with a custom field in individual registration form, so they should be able to select the organization to which they are related. These individuals are not employee, but parents of children frequenting a school picked up from a list.

Hey,

I don't think it's possible with CiviCRM at the moment, but if you saw discussion on this before, might be worth to find original thread on this forum and "freshen up" the discussion there.

Thx,
m

Thanks, I may go through linking these tables with the relation builder provided by civicrm instead....
