Find Contact doesn't work at all.
January 24, 2011, 06:52:34 am
I have been experiencing difficulty in using find contact, every time i use to search a contact it doesn't show the result.
I use civicrm 3.3.3 on Joomla 1.5.22 and the result looks like this.
Find Contacts

Edit Search Criteria
Name or Email
is...Organization
in
with
It return only the number of contacts.

893 Contacts
Contact Type - 'Organization'
Select Records:    All 893 records     Selected records only

But it doesen't show the records for the search.
As well as the page is rendered without css only html format.
it doesn't work for all contact types.(individuals, organizations or house hold)

What can i do to return the unbeatable search functionality of civicrm.

Seems like you're having trouble with templates - did you perform an upgrade recently or moved your instance? Do all other templates work fine? Try cleaning up the templates cache for starters.

Thx,

I haven't change any of the templates or neither did any modification, besides that all other templates works fine the problem is on searching contacts, showing contact dashboard and campaign pages have shown error.
It looks like there is no enough resource to view all information or allocated session is small to process the request passed through  it works fine for single result when it come to multiple result the error start to occur.

Quite strange - lack of CSS doesn't indicate server resource problems, but you never know. Try cranking up your php memory_limit and see if it helps.

Hi,

That was a known issue with internet explorer that can't handle more than 32 css.

Are you sure you did test with the same browser ?

I cleaned up the template_c Directory and i crank up the memory limit to 128 and still no change .My contact dashboard returns this error
Server error.

The website encountered an error while retrieving http://unikids.org/administrator/index2.php?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/user&reset=1. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.

Here are some suggestions:
Reload this web page later.
  More information on this error
This comes when i use Google chrome when i use IE it create 500 server error as well.
If possible you can see the error i give the login to the back-end Joomla.
My other site works fine with no error this one creates a lot error almost similar error 75% of the time.
Server error and empty page as well as page with no css.
Is any solution thanks for your quick response.

Hi there i wonder if having and not having an email setting right for civicrm affects its performance. From your experience does email functionality affect the view of a form , or search capability ,donation or contribution .the reason i issue is my email function not configured for all the profiles and events as well as contribution .does it be a cause for empty title only page or it has no connection with it.if so what can i do to correct the email functionality.
And is any way to counter back the installation into a working mode.Installing the un working part like installing civic search or Dashboard independently without affecting the rest of the setting.
Or it might be a bug which doesn't get a threat so i can post into the bug report so all can benefit.
Thanks
