Chinese Name Fields
January 29, 2011, 11:08:31 am
Hi Folks,

I want to create some field to store Chinese names.  [But using English as primary navigation so it's just some fields to hold Chinese Names].

Should I create a separate field set or is it possible to add fields to the Individual Contacts area?

Thanks,

Le

Hello Le,

I Tried a few things, Both on my own installation and On A couple of the demo sites (3.4, and 4.2). The only thing that I can suggest is creating a separate custom field set and setting it to be used with contacts. I have yet to find a way to add fields to the Individual Contacts area in any other way.

Creating a new custom set will give you the Chinese Name storage that you are looking for, and it will also display any information gathered by these fields on your contact's summary page.

Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Jason
