Tracking volunteers for a Church service
February 01, 2011, 07:05:05 pm
Hi
I'm trying to work out the best way of tracking volunteers for a Church service. Typically the service has all the same details (apart from the date) but we have different people doing different jobs each week.
Would you recommend using events? If so I need to duplicate the event many times, is there an easy way of doing this.
Thanks

Erik Hommel

Can you expand a little on what you mean by 'tracking volunteers'. Does that mean you want to be able to report at a later stage who has done what or is it enough to just see what you are scheduled for at the next service?
Initially I would say that Events is a little much, have you tried using the Activities?

Hi Erik,

Your right with both situations, we would like to schedule people for upcoming services and  report on who's been involved with what later.
I've not used activities much so i'll have more of a look at them. Do you find activities easier to manage?
Thanks

I would recommend you play with Activities, and perhaps even Cases. That seems to be better suited to what you describe than Events IMO
