Joomla RC4 Released
December 19, 2007, 03:33:04 pm
Hey all you Joomla lovers, just wanted to make sure you saw the announcement today that Joomla 1.5RC4 was released. Looks like we're very close to having a stable release.

http://www.joomla.org/content/view/4340/1/

For the record, I've really had no problems using CiviCRM on recent nightly builds of RC3 (which RC4 is close to). I plan on getting CiviCRM up and running on an RC4 build today to see if it's working alright.

Thanks Brian,

My company is in a similar position with Joomla 1.5RC3 and have one current site running with Civcrm 1.9.

It certainly had some problems but we managed to get around some and others were fixed with a newer release.

How did you go with your Joomla 1.5 RC4 and Civicrm 1.9 testing?

We are just about to embark on another 3 - 4 month dev cycle for a new client where we hope to use Joomla 1.5 RC4 during dev with an expected upgrade to a production stable version by launch, hopefully with Civicrm 2.0 coming in mid project.

Cheers
Kim

I have two sites running 1.5RC4 + CiviCRM 1.9. One is already in production, and I've had no issues appear (RC4 fixed several issues in RC3 that I previously had hacked solutions for, so it actually has improved things). The other site should go into production by the end of this week.

So far RC4+1.9 seems to be working just fine.
