SSL fails; have run out of troubleshooting ideas
February 04, 2011, 03:43:33 pm
CiviCRM seems very unwilling to force SSL and I can't figure out why.  :(

I can open Drupal pages in https with no errors, so I am assuming the cert is installed properly. It is the type that doesn't provide ownership info, but is validated by GoDaddy. Trying to force SSL on the resource_URLs page gives me the message about needing to set up a secure server. If I try to open the dashboard or any other Civi page (or a Drupal node with a Civi profile embedded) there are errors ... but I can't find them. When I view source all filepaths are relative.

Things I've tried: installing SecurePages and putting it in control; switching to SimplyCivi theme; switching to Garland; also disabling SecurePages and going through the same theme switches. I also found a post that referred to a hack that worked for others -- suppressing the error return -- but it failed for me.  I've cleared the Drupal cache, turned off all caching for .js, then .css, then everything, then flushed the cache again. Nothing.

We are running Drupal 6.19, CiviCRM 3.1.2 (outdated, I know - but later versions broke our theme and several modules).  I'm out of ideas here and would appreciate some help if anyone has suggestions...
