Install Trouble
February 05, 2011, 09:55:14 pm
Installing 3.3.3 onto Joomla 1.5.22
PHP version    5.2.10
MySQL version    5.0.91-community

Installing by uploading zip to tmp and unzip through cpanel then through admin install from directory.
It takes a while then comes up with install success but also this error message:

"Error Loading ModulesMySQL server has gone away SQL=SELECT id, title, module, position, content, showtitle, control, params FROM jos_modules AS m LEFT JOIN jos_modules_menu AS mm ON mm.moduleid = m.id WHERE m.published = 1 AND m.access <= 2 AND m.client_id = 1 ORDER BY position, ordering"

Any help much appreciated...

Sounds like a lack of sufficient resources on your hosting account. Not all shared hosts are suitable for hosting CiviCRM.

as hershel suggested, that error is usually indicative of poor server environment. basically, mysql hiccuped during the operation. your installation itself may be fine -- the hiccup may have occurred after the installation when the admin screen was reloading. but if you experience further issues, you may want to look at better hosting options
