Displaying Events Page in Drupal
February 05, 2011, 10:42:56 pm
Hi,

My Organisation runs a lot of events throughout the year, and would like our events page on our Drupal website to display featured events, and also have quick links to the other events. The featured events will change so we need to be able to configure it quite easyly and fairly quickly.

Our users should be able to see and sign up to the featured events ie. they will see a short summary of each event and with the register now button.

Hope this makes sense.

I think you should be looking at what Views can offer you by way of displaying CiviEvents - sounds like the tool you need

if there is nothing currently unique about those events, then perhaps make something , ie an Event (not Participant) Custom Field that flags it as 'featured' that you can use as a Filter in Views? maybe?
