Errors on the links to versions
February 06, 2011, 10:08:27 am
Hi,

http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC31/CiviCRM+Documentation

The block on the left that links to the various versions doesn't work for 3.3 and 3.2 (links to 3.1 instead)

Also, would it be possible that when you go (eg. through the search that seems to prefer older versions of the page)

http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC32/API+Overview

You link to the current version of the same page instead of linking to the home page of current version ? This one is really annoying and I'm sure we are loosing readers.

Use case:

I search for API, click on API convention, end up in the old version 3.2 (why, how why),

This documentation relates to CiviCRM version 3.2. It's not maintained anymore.
Current version of documentation.

Click on the current version link, end up in the home page, Still have no clue how to go to the API convention page beside using the search that's going to suggest me the 3.2, close the tab, come here an complain ;)

Could you assume http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/current/API+Overview is the current version, and add the config on apache to redirect to http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC33/API+Overview and change the redirect rule for each new version ?

Or whatever, but navigating in a wiki is always tricky, linking to the home page of the current version is not good enough IMO

X+
