CiviCRM Community Forums (archive)

For years I've used a combination of Highest Previous Contribution (hpc) and Most Recent Contribution (mrc) date/amount, along with number of contributions and a few other factors, to segment donors and personalize ask amounts.  I'm in the midst of a transfer from a commercial database to civiCRM and I can't see a way to get this info and use it to select, tag and communicate with donors.  Is this possible?  Can civCRM be configured to do this?  Thanks.
