Joomla Installation Error
February 08, 2011, 01:03:06 am
Hi All,

Need some help in Civicrm installation.

I run Joomla in Windows under this Server specs
Apache: 2.2.11
PHP: 5.2.9
MySQL: 5.0.51

It installs in my Joomla successfully. But when I try to access the Civicrm component at the backend it displays this error message:

"Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'Exception' with message 'XML data could not be loaded. Make sure you specified the correct path.' in E:\xampp\htdocs\hopeww\administrator\components\com_civicrm\civicrm\packages\IDS\Filter\Storage.php:220 Stack trace: #0 E:\xampp\htdocs\hopeww\administrator\components\com_civicrm\civicrm\packages\IDS\Filter\Storage.php(111): IDS_Filter_Storage->getFilterFromXML() #1 E:\xampp\htdocs\hopeww\administrator\components\com_civicrm\civicrm\packages\IDS\Monitor.php(189): IDS_Filter_Storage->__construct(Object(IDS_Init)) #2 E:\xampp\htdocs\hopeww\administrator\components\com_civicrm\civicrm\CRM\Core\IDS.php(140): IDS_Monitor->__construct(Array, Object(IDS_Init)) #3 E:\xampp\htdocs\hopeww\administrator\components\com_civicrm\civicrm\CRM\Core\Invoke.php(88): CRM_Core_IDS->check(Array) #4 E:\xampp\htdocs\hopeww\administrator\components\com_civicrm\admin.civicrm.php(77): CRM_Core_Invoke::invoke(Array) #5 E:\xampp\htdocs\hopeww\administrator\components\com_civicrm\admin.civicrm.php(45): civicrm_invoke() in E:\xampp\htdocs\hopeww\administrator\components\com_civicrm\civicrm\packages\IDS\Filter\Storage.php on line 220"

Kindly advice what went wrong.

can you try going to:
http://domain.org/administrator/index2.php?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/admin/setting/updateConfigBackend&reset=1

and check the settings. if you can't get there, review the settings in:
/administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm.settings.php

and try again.

Thanks for the clue.

I deleted the folder (civicrm) located in this direction /media/civicrm.

Then I run a fresh installation (which created a new folder in the said location). It know works perfectly! Amazing!!

Thanks.

my civicrm was installed successfully, however, when i try to access certain areas within the component (like the link above), i get 404 errors. any ideas why this is happening?

your user details says you're running J1.6
Civi 3.3.5 is not compatible with J1.6. the next release (4.0) will be.
