Attachments on activities
February 10, 2011, 05:01:46 am
Hi,

I've not used a forum much before, but I can't figure out what files types can be attached to activities. I have tried HTML, PDF and word documents and none work...
Can anyone give me any advice??

Thanks!

Katie :)

Hi and welcome,

What's the error message you get ?

You're talking about activities in civicrm, not about post in this forum, right?

Hi,
Yeah, I'm talking about activities in CiviCRM.
I get this:
    * warning: rename(/RE_New_application_msg_0dff54d9e4c318850093fd9f31ede5e5.unknown) [function.rename]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/tallship/civicrm.encompasstrust.org/sites/all/modules/civicrm/CRM/Core/BAO/File.php on line 117.
    * warning: rename(RE_New_application_msg_0dff54d9e4c318850093fd9f31ede5e5.unknown,/RE_New_application_msg_0dff54d9e4c318850093fd9f31ede5e5.unknown) [function.rename]: Success in /home/tallship/civicrm.encompasstrust.org/sites/all/modules/civicrm/CRM/Core/BAO/File.php on line 117.

Then this:
'Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred. Could not move custom file to custom upload directory.'

I don't fully understand Civi yet (only been using it a month), so not sure if it's something that isn't set up right at our end!

Thanks,

Katie

Hi,

Check the Configuration for the directories, seems that it's not properly configured, or that apache doesn't have write access to that.

Thank you! I'll ask our IT guy about this - I am not computer literate to know what half of that means or where to find it!

Thanks for your help. :)
