customise/clone "notes"?
February 10, 2011, 08:19:54 am
Hi,

I'd like a tab similar to "notes" but with custom fields.

I can see that i can create a new multiple-record custom field set on its own tab, but the "edit ##" > "add new ##" process is a little clumsy in comparison to the current "notes" format.. is it possible to add fields to "notes", or clone and customise it?
I'm not averse to a little back end modification if required

thanks

david

How about customizing the existing smarty templates used for multi-value custom fields to make the UI less clumsy. (Customize a copy of the tpl's in your configured Custom Template Directory). And / or - if you've designed and implemented a "better" UI - you can share with the community and potentially contribute as a patch.
