on a mac import failed and not able to reset - fatal error

I understand there was a problem importing with a mac but I cannot get the import to even start on my system - whenever I import i get the error

Fatal error: Class '_CSV' not found in /xx/xxx/public_html/sites/all/modules/civicrm/CRM/Import/Form/DataSource.php(236) : eval()'d code on line 1

and cannot try another csv file.  How do I reset so I can import again?  I have done an export to try and made sure the csv is  with unix line endings and utf-8 encoding  but cant even get in to test it........

The original file works perfectly on the civic demo site so how do I reset so I can bring this file in and continue ?
