Upgrade from 3.3.3 to 3.3.5 went smoothly, Navigation Menu Problem yet persists
February 11, 2011, 02:21:58 pm
I applied the 3.3.5 upgrade since I received a security announcement advising to do so. Fortunately the upgrade went smoothly.

The problem that the Navigation Menu is not functional after the upgrade still persists @ 3.3.5, something that has plagued the 3.3.x series upgrades right along.

Deleting the Mozilla Firefox browser cache cleared that right up as usual. It was not even necessary for me to close / exit the browser. Just move back to the homepage, empty the cache, and then click on CiviCRM again on the Drupal Navigation menu.

Yes dschafer, I had seen recent Civi posts which suggest doing that.

I assume that is enabling "Bandwidth optimizations" \ "Optimize CSS files"
At this path: /admin/settings/performance
Correct?

We can not enable that as we use "Private" method to download files.

That seems like quite a limitation.

How to you deal with the css file limits in IE?

??? Forgive me... I use the Linux operating system and Firefox is my main browser. What limitation would you be referring to?

Our theme and modules have all of these CSS files on the homepage alone. (Drupal, not Civi)

Code: [Select]
<link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" media="all" href="/modules/aggregator/aggregator.css?N" />
<link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" media="all" href="/modules/node/node.css?N" />
<link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" media="all" href="/modules/poll/poll.css?N" />
<link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" media="all" href="/modules/system/defaults.css?N" />
<link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" media="all" href="/modules/system/system.css?N" />
<link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" media="all" href="/modules/system/system-menus.css?N" />
<link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" media="all" href="/modules/user/user.css?N" />
<link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" media="all" href="/sites/all/modules/cck/theme/content-module.css?N" />
<link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" media="all" href="/sites/all/modules/logintoboggan/logintoboggan.css?N" />
<link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" media="all" href="/sites/all/modules/nice_menus/nice_menus.css?N" />
<link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" media="all" href="/sites/all/modules/nice_menus/nice_menus_default.css?N" />
<link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" media="all" href="/sites/all/modules/views/css/views.css?N" />
<link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" media="all" href="/sites/all/modules/addtoany/addtoany.css?N" />
<link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" media="all" href="/sites/all/themes/cir/style.css?N" />
<link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" media="print" href="/sites/all/themes/cir/print.css?N" />

I have not heard complaints from people who use IE to surf the site. (shrug) Ignorance is bliss!?
