Participant List Discrepancy

On the Drupal demo site, I made a new event and then (in a separate browser) registered myself. Then I deleted my Contact that I just registered for that event. On the Find Participants page:

http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/event/search?reset=1&force=1&status=true&event=12

there are no Contacts listed, because only one had registered and now he is deleted. On the Public Participants listing, however:

http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/event/participant?reset=1&id=12

that one Contact does appear.
