Outbound Email settings
February 16, 2011, 03:40:12 pm
We have had Outbound Email  disabled while we did large data imports to ensure that email was not accidentally sent.  If we turn this on, are there any auto-generated emails that could be sent to constituents?

For example, if a staff person had tried to send an email, is it sitting in cache waiting to be automatically sent when Outbound Email is enabled?  Similarly, will there be any auto-generated emails sent as a result of staff actions (adding contacts, recording contributions, etc)?

Thanks

xavier

Hi,

Why would the system send an email when you import ?

Never done the test, but for what I can remember from the code, the emails are simply dropped when the outbound email is disabled and  not queued.
