I have hundreds of events during the year. When entering data for those who attended an event [I use CiviCRM as a personal record of attendees to events - users do not sign up for events on my site], I...

• Select those who attended an event from a group
• Add selection to that event

However, since the event has already occurred, I have to click Include past event(s) in this select list. When I do, it's difficult to scroll down through the hundreds of activities until I find the one I am looking for. As time goes on, the list will grow. I have changed the field is_active in the database for old events to 0 thinking that they won't show up in the pull-down list. However, they are still there. Is there another way I can limit the list of events when I want to complete my attendance lists?

I'm using: Drupal 6.20, Apache/2.2.11 (Ubuntu) PHP/5.2.6-3ubuntu4.6 with Suhosin-Patch, CiviCRM 3.3.3

Rajan, thanks. I went back to my list of events and noticed that the older events were shown as you say they should be shown. I'm unsure why I they were in the drop-down list before. Perhaps cache was causing the problem. Now, the events seem to work as expected and as coded.
