Upgrade from 2.2.2 to 3.3.5 in Joomla Database failed
February 21, 2011, 07:12:50 am
Appealing to a gentle soul who wants to help out a non profit...:)
A bit of background, in the last month with version 2.2.2, I have not been able to update events and was getting a 404 error, so impossible to update a date or anything in events.
this is when I decided finally to upgrade to 3.3.5 - I know, it's about time, shoot me.
After a successful install message, I was prompted to update the database when the fateful message appeared:
Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred. Database check failed - the database looks to have been partially upgraded. You may want to reload the database with the backup and try the  upgrade process again.
I tried with a previous database backup and same error. Now I cannot even have the 2.2.2 running so nothing works and I had to disable all pages and menus pointing to CIVICRM.
Currently CIVICRM is uninstalled and I am not sure what my next move is, disappear from the planet, try to fix it or delete all CIVICRM tables and reinstall the new version.
How does that sound for a Monday morning!!
If anyone has a bit of a clue on the matter (of course other than going to Web Access, by the way, how much is their hourly rate?), it would be most welcome and your karma will be greatly improved by it :)
Either way, you all have a wonderful week and thank you for reading.
Captainet
