Hello,

On events with online registration enabled, when event end date is over and if "registration end date" was not set, the registration link is still available on the event page. So people can use calendar view past event and register to a past event.

Is there a way to automatically disable registration link on past events, even if "Registration end date" field is not set ?

Nope there is no automatic way to disable past events. You can write a simple php script for this and then set the cron to run it periodically.
