Token for yearly contributions

Hello,

At the beginning of each year we send letters to all our contributors in which we would need the sum of all contributions from the previous year. How can I create a token for this? is there a general way to create tokens?

You should check http://svn.civicrm.org/civicrm/branches/v3.3/drupal/civitest.module.sample

civitest_civicrm_tokens() and civitest_civicrm_tokenValues( )
