Bounced emails not put on hold
February 24, 2011, 03:30:31 pm
Hi,  I'm using version 2.2.8 in a few different instances. When I send email using CiviMail, the bounce function works just fine.  When I send email from the drop down action bar ("send email to contacts")  I receive a bounce message, but the email is not automatically placed on hold.  Any ideas why the system would not recognize that the emails should be placed on hold?

Thanks,
Colleen

Hi,

THat's because the bounce goes directly to your mailbox, not to civicrm. That's normal, the bounce is only handled by civimail, not the "normal" send email.

I would strongly suggest you to upgrade to the latest version of civi, you will have a much nicer experience, not to mention loads of bug fixes and new features.
