Bulk Update Via Profile / Image
February 25, 2011, 04:03:46 am
Hi, all.

REALLY hope someone can help with this. For want of a 'deactivate contact' function, I'm looking to provide backend staff with a profile which contains check-outs for all privacy information (do not email, etc). They can therefore use this profile to bulk update contacts whom we no longer wish to consider active, but don't want to delete (thus losing all their activity history, etc).

In addition, I'd like to change these contacts' images to an alert-style flag so that they're clearly shown as inactive on their summary page. I've been trying to do this using the Image URL field in the profile, but it doesn't seem to change the contacts' images when used in batch update via profile.

Does anyone have any ideas, solutions or alternatives?

Huge thanks as ever,

RJB
