"You are not authorized to access this page." when trying to dedup
February 25, 2011, 07:00:27 pm
Hi,

I've been trying to de-duplicate our database.

I can get to here:
http://antarqld.org.au/civicrm/contact/deduperules?reset=1&action=browse

But if click on any of the links to use or edit (eg http://www.antarqld.org.au/civicrm/contact/dedupefind?reset=1&rgid=6&action=preview)  rule I get the above not authorized message.

I've triple checked the permissions and have given the role every single permission!!

I'm on drup 6.19, php 5.2.14, mysql 5.0.77, apache 1.3.41

I was getting this problem on 3.2.3 and I upgraded to 3.3.5 hoping to fix the problem.

any help much appreicated!

I've done an extensive google search and can't find anyone else with this problem

Thanks Lobo - I have it fixed now... unfortunately after I made this post I had a major drupal hiccough and in the process of fixing that I had to open permissions on some the template_c/en_US directory

and now it's all working ... yayyyyy!!!!!

thanks again

actually the problem came back when the admin tried to dedupe - but this time I spotted the real problem...

civicrm is redirecting from xyzgoodcause.com to WWW.xyzgoodcause.com hence the user is not logged on in the new (www etc) domain

very disappointed none of you lot spotted it... but this seems to be a genuine bug

The simple temporary work around is logging into www.xyzgoodcause.com and then all works very nicely!

does that make sense. I'm happy to supply more info if needed.

(loving civicrm by the way)

Erich

nope apparently I'm mistaken ... all my fault and not a bug in civicrm at all

hard to imagine I'm the only one in the universe running both xyz.org and www.xyz.org tho...
