We have a custom data field that is used for contributions that helps us track batches of thank you letters generated.

There are two searches that we would like to be able to do in Find Contributions search function
civicrm/contribute/search&reset=1

1 - Search where this field is empty

2 - Search using wildcards

Are either of these possible?

Use '%' (a percent sign) as a wildcard

I don't know how to search is a field is empty...

In case this hasn't been answered.

To fine an empty field use custom search.

Use the "IS NULL" condition on the field in question.
