Joomla 1.6 & CiviCRM 4.0 Alpha-Civicontribute

I'm testing CiviCRM 4.0 Alpha with Joomla 1.6 as I don't want to install 1.5 at this time and CiviCRM 3.3.5 only gave me an interal server error when using it with 1.6. I know its Alpha but I learned from reading the forums that this version was suppose to be compatible with Joomla 1.6. I was wondering if anyone ran across this error when using Civicontribute with Joomla registrations. After you click to confirm the contribution I get this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method JAccess::get_group_id() in /home/nchsibpa/public_html/dev/administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/CRM/Core/BAO/CMSUser.php on line 553
and it does not create a Joomla Account nor memberships etc. Is there any ideas for a fix yet, or even has it been reported? If there is a fix already please let me know. Thanks
