Manually record payment for additional attendees
March 02, 2011, 08:02:07 am
For an event where I've enabled registration of additional attendees, single person can register and pay for everyone. For example, 5 people registered @ $20, payment of $100 shows on the primary registrant's registration record.

How do I duplicate this manually on the back end? I want to manually register 5 people that were all paid for with one payment. Would I have to indicate individual payment for each of the 5 attendees? All I'm trying to do is duplicate the functionality from the front end when someone calls in to register.

Thanks for any insights!

Currently the only way to do this (w/o coding or hacking on the DB) is for your back-office registrar to use the front-end registration form. They can do this as an anonymous visitor (log out first), or if you're on a recent version of CiviCRM they can stay logged in and they'll see this message at the top of the registration page.:

(Not <their name>, or want to register a different person?)

They can click on "register a different person" and do the multi-person registration.

If they need to do this often for a given event, you can add a menu item directly to that registration page (with the special extra parameter of &cid=0).
