Validation error when saving Contribution Pages

Hi All I am getting the following error when saving the "Thank You and Receipting" from of a newly created contribution page after upgrading to CiviCRM 3.3.5 on Drupal 6.20

Return to home page.

What can I do to get past this?

By the way, any text with special characters in the text only textarea (not the html formatted ones) will generate this error. Accents, apostrophes, quotations etc.

can you see if this reproduce on demo? i'm a bit surprised since i suspect more people would have hit this issue

We are considering skipping the IDS check for users with administer CiviCRM access. This should fix it for most people

I encourage this approach Lobo, IDS has become problematic for several of my clients.  It produces errors inexplicably.  Other times, saving the same exact content twice will produce an error the first time, but not the second, or vice versa.

IDS has become a burden on the administrative staff.

I am having the same problem but on Events (CiviCRM 3.3.3 on Drupal 6.20).  How do I get around IDS for Administrators?

For now either keep your HTML and special characters in only the description - not the footer or thank you boxes.   Or apply a patch that lobo created.   Search for the 'suspicious' meta-thread in the

I am getting the same error message as others when I try to insert an email link into the Thank you page. If there is a patch to correct this where can I find it?

Just to add that we are also getting this issue. I will go through the steps, but in the light of your comment Lobo, I wanted to post to ensure you get good feedback on the scale of the issue.

Using civicrm 4.1 on drupal 7 I get this when simply adding a link href=".... to an event.

HOW CAN I TURN THIS OFF COMPLETELY!!!  what is this IDS? I do not want it!
