Hi,

I need to figure out where to edit the "Thanks for Registering" page the user sees after a successful Event registration?

I want to change the following message to add the text in red:

"Your registration has been processed successfully. Please print this page for your records.
An event registration confirmation email has also been sent to [username@domain.com]"

You will also receive a second email from us containing a link to activate your domain.org membership. Please click on the link in the email to activate your new membership.

Where can I make the above changes to the default text?

Looks like the solution to this has to do with creating a custom template file. The solution instructions are discussed in this forum thread.

Up to some extends you could modified text contents of 'Conformation' and 'Thank You' screen.

from Manage Event -> Configure -> Online Registration ( see Confirmation Screen and Thank you Screen sections )

Hi Kiran,

Thanks for your reply. I wasn't referring to the emails sent by CiviCRM. I was referring to the thank you page the user sees in the browser after registering successfully.

Just to be clear, what I ended up doing was:

1. Create a new directory in my Joomla root called something like "civicrm-tpl", and within it I created the file structure to match CiviCRM, e.g., /civicrm-tpl/CRM/Event/Form/Registration/ThankYou.tpl

As you can see from the path above, I put my modified ThankYou.tpl file inside it.

2. Next, I activated the Custom Templates directory feature by going to:

Administer/Configure/Global Settings/Directories

Under Custom Templates I entered my specific server path to my Custom Template directory "civicrm-tpl":
/home/my_domain_account/public_html/civicrm-tpl/

CiviCRM automatically checks the Custom Templates directory first to see if there are any custom templates to use, if none, then it uses the default templates.
