I've been working with Firefox and love all the capabilities - like hover over an icon and getting a pop-up menu with additional information when I hover over a Contact icon or click on the Action button when viewing a Contact.

When I switched to IE7, it's broken. Just a partial black box shows up.

I'm using Drupal 6.20 with CiviCRM 3.3.5 utilizing the Garland theme with no customizations.

What should I be looking for? I've included a shot of the Actions menu - just a thin black box shows up under the Actions button if you click on it. Same general thing happens for all of the ohover overs...

I had the same issue - it's a pretty standard IE7 hasLayout ball ache i think. I was in a rush so i just added position:static; to the actions menu div in an IE7 only stylesheet - this doesn't exactly fix the problem as it shifts the content down to accommodate the menu now - but it means that it is useable in IE7.
