Dreamhost works okay with Drupal/civicCRM?

Hello! My name is Shelley and I am Director of a Detroit non profit, Detroit Crossroads Initiative. a few months ago I found out that Dreamhost Hosting company offers nonprofits a year long hosting priviliges. I signed up and recieved the hosting package. We are now ready to start building the site, but looking at dreamhost installation, they dont seem all that crazy about drupal. In the last year, I have my a decision to do nearly all of my work on Drupal as well as installing CivicCRM. I just wanted to know if anyone has a current installation of Drupal/CivicCRM on Dreamhost. What was your experience?

I'm the Technology Advisor for the Mecklenburg County (Charlotte, NC) Democratic Party. We've used DreamHost (Drupal/CiviCrm) for quite a while.
