Civimail is mailing to people who are in Trash from Test

Hi - just had a case where some test contacts I created, and who were then Trashed, ended up receiving a Test Mailing that was sent to a Group (probably a Smart Group) that the Trashed contact had been in.

Not sure how this could happen and can't verify on Demo - was on 3.2.5
